The existing Milk Chilling Plant was renovated as a Dairy in the year 2007 in Nirmalacity, 7 KM from Kattappana, the “The Spice Garden of Kerala “, Kattappana Dairy was constructed with fair intention of ensuring “Socio-economic progress of Dairy Farmers of Idukki District through consumer satisfaction”. To achieve this goal, it served the interest of consumers in Idukki District by providing quality and safe milk and milk products.

Various products manufactured are milk in pouches (2 varieties), Curd in pouches, Sambharam in pouches, Ghee etc.

Renovated as Kattappana Dairy in 2007, it can handles one lakh litres of milk, 2500 litres of curd per day all of which constitute a turnover of Rs. 40 crores

Kattappana Dairy is committed to encourage milk production in order to supply safe, nutritious and excellent Quality Milk and Milk products to consumers. In this endeavour, we have adopted world class Food Safety Management System and uses latest processing technology to enhance consumer satisfaction of our produce and which in turn will improve the socio-economic condition of the farmers

Kattappana Dairy’s manufacturing facilities are certified with Food Safety Management System- ISO 22000:2018 and Quality Management System- ISO 9001:2015 to ensure Food Safety and Quality at every stage, from farm to consumer
